Clerk's Office Staff Directory

The County Clerk is recorder of various official County records, such as birth and death certificates, marriage licenses, business registrations, notary public commissions, military discharges, concealed weapons permits, and Board of Commissioners and Circuit Court records.

The County Clerk is secretary to nearly all official County Boards and Commissions, including the Board of Commissioners. The County Clerk administers the County payroll, makes and accounts for County disbursements, maintains employee files and fringe benefits.

The Clerk is responsible for overseeing the printing and distribution of election ballots, conducting state and county elections, handles the canvass of votes in state, county, school, village, city and township elections, and is the filing official for campaign finance reporting for all election offices below the state level.

The department also handles the processing of applications for passports, issues marriage licenses, and concealed weapon permits. The County Clerk prepares and publishes the official County Directory as well as serving as a primary information source for the County at large.
