Mackinac County Veterans’ Services
This office assists veterans and their dependents with the filing of claims for compensation, pension, educational benefits, reopening of claims and appeals, insurance, burials (both federal and state), grave markers, home loan applications, referrals on business and farm loans, unemployment benefits, jobs, civil service, hospitalization, notarization of documents, certificates in lieu of lost discharges, and many other personal problems which my arise and embrace the jurisdiction of the various governmental agencies, local, state and federal.
This office is located in the Mackinac County Courthouse Annex building Room 105. Rick Litzner holds office hours on Wednesdays from 9-12 and 1-3. Phone (906)643-9411, Fax (906) 643-9085.
A accredited representative is now available to counsel and prepare VA claims for all veterans, dependents and surviving spouse at the Mackinac County Veterans Office.
Available at 2 locations:
County Annex Building, St. Ignace, Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
American Legion Hall, Engadine, Wednesdays 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
