CORRECTIONS DEPUTY   *Now Hiring!*  Full Time

The Mackinac County Sheriff accepts resume’s for corrections deputies year round, but is not always hiring. Positions include part-time corrections and full-time corrections deputies.

Applicants must also complete the Michigan Sheriff’s Coordinating and Training Council (MSCTC) reading and writing aptitude test (EMPCO) and the physical agility test (LCOPAT).

LAW ENFORCEMENT DEPUTY SHERIFF 

The Mackinac County Sheriff is accepting resume’s for a law enforcement deputy sheriff position.   Applicants must be MCOLES certified or certifiable.

JAIL COOK –  Part Time 

The Mackinac County Sheriff is accepting applications for a part-time cook in the jail. Interested parties may submit a resume’ with a completed application form.

The part-time cook must possess skills to prepare multiple meals at specific times, following pre-approved menus, maintain cleanliness, understand and follow policies and regulations of the Mackinac County Sheriff’s Office as well as all policies and procedures related to food service.  This part-time cook will typically work 28 hours per week (hours vary between 6:00a.m. & 6:00p.m.).  Days of work may include weekends, holidays, and additional hours due to shift shortages.
